Complete of the "Esther Willi IT-Block" at Kasita Seminary
In October 2025, we were invited as guests to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Kasita Seminary school in Mahenge. We have been supporting projects there for many years to improve infrastructure and renovations. Rector Onesmo Mnyang’ali manages the boarding school with foresight and achieves very good results in national exams.

IT education is not yet established in Tanzania, and there is an urgent need for greater capacity. Over the past two years, with our help, the “Esther Willi IT Block” has been renovated and equipped with a spacious computer room containing 66 workstations connected to the internet. The room will also be available for rent to other schools in the area to help cover operating costs. The tiled floor and two-thirds of the hardware are still missing. The rector has asked us for financial support to cover these costs.
The cost of the flooring amounts to CHF 3,900. Only ceramic tiles meet the requirement that the room be kept as dust-free as possible to protect the computers, as there is a high level of dust in the air, especially during the dry season.
The purchase of a PC workstation, including a desk and chair, costs CHF 250. Used PCs that have been upgraded to Windows 10 will be installed. Forty units are still needed to complete the project.
